When I first came out of my car and Macaal (which is a native Hawaiian for “eyes”, as well as “open my eyes and view”) at Aulani, Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Alina, Hawaii, I was delighted. Disney’s Hawaii resort, the place I have been looking forward to me for years. The warm breeze spent through the lobby from the Vakalae valley (a spacious open platform between the two Aulan towers), the ocean was in sight, and the warm spirit of Aloh was easily felt in space.
My family and I met the actors of Aulani, who kindly welcomed us at their “house”, which would also be our home for the next six nights. When we studied the resort, I started to feel that this property on the beach was really something special. In all Alani, the stories of the Hawaiians and Hawaiian culture were full, which caused the guests as I to find out and ask questions about Hawaii. But the attention to the details and the selection of Hawaiian stories does not stop in the lobby. Even in guests rooms, this is part of the exciting experience in Aulani. The rooms face the ocean or mountains and have a beautiful flower aroma. The smell of the signature is the jasmine flower called the Hawaiian picket. Hopkins explained that this is a popular flower in Hawaii, and even Alani’s ownership is growing.
Training Hawaiian stories through language and food
One place presented by all that Alani seeks to teach guests is a room. “This beautiful salon is inspired by Hawaiian language. Hopkins told me that the language of the native Hawaiians has almost died, but the revival of the language is important for Aulan to share with others. The company is manifested between people who work in Aulan like nothing I saw at another resort. “The value of concern for a place where someone else will call home for a time when they are not in their personal home is huge,” Hopkins says.

While moving to the airport, we stopped at the store to find our own crafts to fill the memories and spirit of Aulan, which we brought with us home. Now my ski is sitting on the shelf in my office.
